Production Technology and Sustainability
The Production Technology and Sustainability Expert Group focuses on the following topics:
- Best Practice identification regarding production processes (e.g. in terms of process speed, flexibility, resource and energy efficiency) and measurement methods
- Optimization of cell assembly processes (flexibility and agility in production with regard to new cell designs and configurations, reduction in cell production energy, time and costs)
- Tracking and optimizing resource and energy efficiency (reduction of scrap, enhance yield, resource-saving)
- Development of environmentally friendly manufacturing processes (aqueous based slurries, etc.)
- Conducting Sustainability Assessments (e.g. LCA)
